Ashley Jackson (born in Chatham, Kent and educated at Sutton Valence School) when he was in year 7 he joined rose hill school in Tunbridge Wells. He is an English field hockey player. He was a member of the British squad that finished ninth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and appeared again in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The midfielder/striker made his debut in 2007 for the English senior side at the age of 19. He currently wears the number 7 shirt for both England and Great Britain and sometimes strikes Penalty Corners for the National Team. Jackson played for HGC in the Dutch league for a number of years, alongside England/GB team mate Barry Middleton. He now plays outdoor hockey for East Grinstead Hockey Club in England. He continues to play indoors for East Grinstead as they defend their National Indoor League and Championship titles, and has also helped them to obtain the European Indoor title for the 2009/10 season. He schooled at Sutton Valence Kent.

He was named FIH Young Player of the year 2009 and is the first English player to receive this accolade. [1]

Ashley has said 'it will be a two horse race between EG and Reading once again' in the English National Hockey League.
